He's Got the Whole World in His Hands

If we were to ever question God about Esther being our daughter then we would have to question if we know who God really is in the first place.  Every day of this journey has been in God’s hands, directed and orchestrated by Him and proven to us that He is control of this journey.  He CHOSE us to be Esther’s parents and her to be our daughter.  Every road block has not just been removed from our path but annihilated from existence.

EXCITING news today! We woke up this morning to an official referral letter from our agency and all of Esther’s information and records were included, as well as some sweet pictures.  What an exciting day and one that we couldn’t have imagined happening just a month ago.  A few short hours after receiving and accepting our referral there was a knock at the door.  Fedex was at our home to make a delivery.  Once I saw where the package was from I was in shock.  We had to send several documents to our Secretary of State to be certified.  I call the SOS office and asked them the process and they told me it would be at least three weeks before we would receive these back from them certified.  Just today, two friends (who have adopted internationally) told us that many times documents don’t go through the first time so don’t be discouraged it may take several weeks.  Little does everyone realize this is God’s adoption process not ours! We mailed the documents to the State Capital after delivery pick up time on Tuesday so Wednesday would be the date they went out and TODAY was the day we received them all back certified and ready to complete our dossier! That is a three day turn around not a three week one like we were expecting.

He’s got the whole world in His hands! Literally down to every tiny detail of our lives.  We are so thankful that He not only has Esther in His hands but he even has the people that sign our documents and the Fedex driver and the workers in the orphanage and everyone in between this 1,818 miles! 

“Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand
and marked off the heavens with a span,
enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure
and weighed the mountains in scales
and the hills in a balance?” Is. 40:12

The answer is GOD – don’t ever doubt that He is in control!
