Miracle after Miracle!

Today begins 2012 and so far it has been an AMAZING start.  In 2011 we were able to finalize the adoption of our daughter Eden and two weeks after that we found out we would be gaining another precious daughter, Esther! The past two months have been a whirlwind for our family.  I completed my Master’s degree two weeks ago, while beginning the process of an International adoption not having any idea what that meant or entailed.  All the while just trusting in the Lord to guide us through each day and not let us worry about what was around the corner but just focusing on Him and each day at hand.  Through this process, I have met some incredible people and reconnected with many others.  I continue to say that I stand in awe in the of the generosity of others and of so many that are willing to join us in this journey of 1,818 miles.

We started an “Eat-in-for-Esther” fundraiser this past week to raise $5000 by the end of next week and today we are ½ way there.  It is so fun to open up my email and see “donation received” in the subject and click to find out if I know the person or if it is a total stranger.  When I open the email I pray for the person/family donating and I know that God will bless them by being obedient to His calling to donate and help “defend the fatherless.”

After mailing in our dossier last week I was afraid to open emails or answer calls from agency in fear that something was wrong or missing but come to find out it was all there and they told us we did a GREAT job!  The next step in the process was for our agency to send our documents to a translator to translate from English to French, which is a two week process (so we were told).  I continued to pray that things move swiftly in all our matters so that we can hold Esther soon and that each step of this journey will be one miracle after another to show others the mighty power of God’s hand.  Here is a quote from the email I received today from our agency:
“I have to admit that this is the fastest turn around I have
ever had on a translation. When I received the email from
her I thought oops something is wrong….. but then I read the
subject line and did a double take…. Seriously, they always
take at LEAST 2 weeks. I sent this to her Wed Dec 28th
I told you your dossier was great!! God is awesome~”

Another day another miracle! Happy New Year!
