A Picture's worth 1000 words!

After spending 8 hours in a Behavior Management course today to open our home to respite, within 5 minutes of walking through the door we were faced with EVERY scenario we talked about in the course.  Our littles knew we needed a practical test to make sure we could put our new skills into action!  Then I opened my email and we were blessed beyond measure by a sweet smile and precious friend! Karen Gigure and her husband are adopting a sweet little girl from the same orphanage where our little Esther is. Facebook has allowed many of us that are in the adoption process at COTP to connect and support each other! The Gigure’s are in Haiti today visiting their little one for the first time and they were SO amazing to take time out of their day to think about all of us missing our little ones that they took individual pictures and emailed them to us this afternoon! Tears streamed down our faces as we looked at the precious smile on our sweet Esther’s face and thanked God that she is smiling, happy and well cared for by the COTP family while her forever family is waiting on God’s timing to bring her home!

Yesterday we heard from the Department of Homeland Security that they had “misplaced” our home study and that our file has just been sitting waiting for the home study to arrive.  Had I not inquired about this several times we never would have known that and our file AND all the money sent would have just been closed.
Somehow they received the application and cashed the check (that was attached to the home study) but don’t seem to be able to find the home study.  Disappointing news to me that it is our government not the Haitian government that has made the first mistake.  However, we are confident in God’s timing and plan and I know that there is a reason for this delay.  I just need my controlling brain to drop it, send in a new home study and move on!

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matt. 6:34
