Remember, Pray, Love

My friends and co-workers Bruce and Denise hosted an Eat-in-for-Esther dinner party a few months ago and raised $1,000 for our adoption fund. Now two of their daughters, Macy & Kate ages 8 & 9 ½ decided they wanted to do something to be able to help us bring Esther home. They raised Rosemary(whose meaning has great significance to us) and bundled it up and sold it in their neighborhood.  Those girls raised $100 in just a couple of days going to neighbors selling their Rosemary! What a beautiful story. I am just so touched by this family. In the midst of their crazy life they are taking time to teach their children the importance of giving and doing for the others and the kids are jumping right on board!  I could not be more blessed to have the Kendricks in our lives and can’t wait for Esther to hear all the stories of how they poured into our family to help bring her home!

These stories just continue to come our way and I am daily in awe of the power of the Lord. This sweet little Esther already has so many people in her life that love her and pray for her daily that I just can’t help but think she is destined for big things! God is already using her story in a mighty way and lives are being touched and changed – can’t imagine what will take place once she is actually with us! We are just holding on and preparing for the ride - no, actually I won’t be holding on at all I will have my hands up on this roller coaster the ENTIRE way!

Madison and I had the privilege of showing the Apparent Projects video to all the students (over 1000) at her chapel yesterday! We also set up a table to sell bracelets and cookbooks from Haiti(that benefit our orphanage - http://childrenofthepromise.org/). What a great way to introduce college students to the needs in Haiti and give them a tangible way to help!  The mission of the Apparent Project is “Keeping families together.”  Haiti was said to have as many as 500,000 orphans before the devastating earthquake of January 12, 2010. The vast majority of these "orphans" were actually not true orphans. They were children given up by living parents because of extreme poverty. The Apparent Project helps teach a skill to these families so they can sell items and have a source of income to be able to keep their children and not have to give them to an orphanage. Read about them at http://apparentproject.org/mission.html
We are selling their bracelets and ½ of the funds goes to the families and ½ goes to our adoption fund. Let me know if you would like a bracelet – they are $8 and $2 for shipping and you can pay on the PayPal link on our blog just tell me how many you want – they are beautiful and each one comes with the family story of the Haitian that made the piece so you can be in prayer for that family when you wear the bracelet!
"But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief,To repay it by Your hand. The helpless commits himself to You;You are the helper
of the fatherless." Ps. 10:14

As for an update on our case – we don’t really have one. Just still waiting and praying. The meaning of Rosemary is to remember, pray and love - we  would love for you to remember us in prayer at 4:14pm each day for Esther and for our paperwork and our case to move forward!
"..........And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a
time as this?” Esther 4:14
Blessings,
Tiffany
