How to put these emotions into words? One year, two months,
two weeks, and four days later we receive THE email we have been waiting for!
“Mr. and Mrs. Savage we are pleased to inform you that we have Esther scheduled
for her Visa appointment February 8th at 10:00am…………” Do I cry or scream or dance or pee in my
pants – well yes I do!
It has become increasingly easier to relate to the momma
elephant through this initial part of our international adoption journey. THE longest “pregnancy” wait for a child ever
and before the end of the month she will be “born” into our
arms!
What a roller coaster of emotions this journey has been,
what a blessing this journey as been, what amazing people we have met, what
divine intervention has occurred, what humbleness we have gained and what love
has grown in our hearts for the people of Haiti.
Although we will be picking up Esther this month (probably
on my birthday) this journey is FAR from over but actually just beginning! Many
of you have been such a huge support financially, prayerfully and emotionally
for us but now we will need you more than ever.
Walking the journey of adoption is difficult and we are truly blessed by all of the people God has placed on our path. However, now is when we need you the most - we need people in front of us to pull us
along, people alongside us to understand where we are and people behind us to
pick up when we fall and help carry us through the difficult times. Will you commit to this journey with us or to a journey with any family in your area?
How can you help us today?
Shop at our http://www.delicatefortress.com event between now and
Thursday and enter COMEHOME as the coupon code at check out. “Each
one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under
compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Cor. 9:7
Consider financially supporting us by using the PayPal
button on the right to help us purchase our final plane tickets to bring her
home (or donate miles for travel). "Give,
and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together,
running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will
be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38
Pray for Esther’s heart to be prepared for this transition
and for the children and nannies that she has spent the last year and half with
to be ready to grieve loosing her and move forward. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Ps 147:3
Pray for our family to prepare for a new addition and that
entails. Specifically for Parker and Eden as they learn how to share mommy and
love a new sister. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and
courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God
is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Prayerfully consider where God is leading you to care for
“the fatherless” (can you take a meal to a family, donate your time to run
errands, help with laundry, pick up some groceries, mentor a mom, buy items for
a child aging out of care or maybe even foster or adopt yourself). “This
means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but
the children of the promise are counted as offspring. “Romans 9:8
Blessings,
Chris & Tiffany

whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14
