Providence

Tonight we received a long awaited and much anticipated phone call! We were informed that in 19 days we have an appointment with the Embassy in Haiti and we get to meet our little girl! There are no words to express the joy in my heart when I heard these words! Although the timing is not ideal, by any means, it is God’s perfect timing so we are just continuing to go along with the ride!  We have realized, all along, that this is not so much our story as it is God’s story and it only becomes ours as He writes us into it!

Providence= nothing happens by chance

Along with the AMAZING news of our upcoming travel we were given some difficult news about Esther. She is currently in the hospital with pneumonia and a weird infection in her hip.  Since we know NOTHING happens by chance we weren’t surprised to hear that a US team of doctors are currently serving at the hospital Esther is in and yep, you guessed it, they are all orthopedic surgeons! They were able to take care of her hip and the infection and it looks like she is doing very well and my get to come home in the next day or two!  Also, we are comforted, by knowing that Esther is not there alone and is with a nannie from her orphanage that she knows very well. She is being taken care of around the clock.  This news is just so hard for a mom to hear – I hate not being there for her and worrying about the care she is receiving. However, I am currently in the middle of doing Beth Moore’s study of Esther and I was quickly reminded of this from our study two weeks ago:

“The most frequent command, given by God, in the Bible is… DON’T BE AFRAID!!”

I will continue to remind myself of that quote and not be fearful of the “what ifs” and just continue to remember God’s got this and that I get to meet my sweet baby face to face in a few short days! I know that God is present even when He is silent and I know He is watching over Esther and that His timing in all of this is perfect!

How can you pray for us:
1.      Pray for Esther’s health and for those caring for her (I know her nannie has to be tired).
2.     Pray for our upcoming travel and for ALL the plans that have to be made in order for us to be able to leave the country and leave our little ones.
3.     Pray for our finances that they will be quickly multiplied so that our travel will be covered since we only have a few short days to figure all of that out – the same week we send two big kids back to college. Feel free to donate J using the button on the right!

Blessings,
Tiffany
